The 22.09 update, the first paid upgrade since SPAT Revolution was released in 2017, requires a new license.

All our software licenses includes a 1-year Service License Agreement (SLA) with free support and free upgrades. Customers with a SPAT Revolution license activated from September 1st 2021, automatically should have received the 22.09 update licenses (with surrender of the previous license) in their iLok license manager.

Users with SPAT Revolution subscription simply need to synchronize their iLok account to take advantage of the 22.09 release.

For SPAT Revolution demos a trial license can be requested here, while logged in on a FLUX:: account.

SPAT Revolution perpetual license owner activated prior to September 1st 2021 can purchase a license upgrade (surrendering the original license to the new license bundle) in the FLUX:: store while logged in on their account.

The previous SPAT Revolution license, namely 22.02 still provides access to all software build up to version 22.02 v50151.

The 22.09 update, the first paid upgrade since SPAT Revolution was released in 2017, requires a new license.

All our software licenses includes a 1-year Service License Agreement (SLA) with free support and free upgrades. Customers with a SPAT Revolution license activated from September 1st 2021, automatically should have received the 22.09 update licenses (with surrender of the previous license) in their iLok license manager.

All other SPAT Revolution customers are offered the 22.09 license as a paid upgrade and can simply log into their account and access the My Upgrade Options section in the FLUX:: user account to access their upgrade offer.

The previous license, now renamed to SPAT Revolution 22.02 in the iLok license manager, can still be used with all software versions up to 22.02.50151.

The 22.09 license upgrade, includes the 22.02 license as well, for backwards compatibility.

The 22.09 update, the first paid upgrade since SPAT Revolution was released in 2017, requires a new license.

All our software licenses includes a 1-year Service License Agreement (SLA) with free support and free upgrades. Customers with a SPAT Revolution license activated from September 1st 2021, automatically should have received the 22.09 update licenses (with surrender of the previous license) in their iLok license manager.

In order to complete the upgrade, you will need to surrender the license you currently hold in exchange for the new SPAT Revolution license. The previous license, now renamed SPAT Revolution Essential 22.02 and SPAT Revolution Ultimate 22.02, will still be included in your new license bundle for backward software build access.

In order to proceed with this, you need to have your iLok keys or machine connected to the iLok manager.

If you currently own multiple licenses of SPAT Revolution, it is recommended to do the operation in a single batch. This doesn’t impose to change anything on the currently installed software on the computer station but simply to have all physical iLok keys connected with the iLok manager to complete the surrender process or simply log in with the iLok manager on each computer station and complete the surrender.

As of April 15th, 2021, a new license option is now available for SPAT Revolution users. 

This license called SPAT Revolution Essential (single activation) can be used with software releases 21.4.0.xxxxx and above and support some specific features.  See the details on SPAT Revolution here  (specifications on the bottom of the page)

All users that have purchased or subscribed to SPAT Revolution prior to this date are entitled to a new license deposit. The license SPAT Revolution Ultimate bundle (2 activations) has been delivered to all the user accounts entitled. The SPAT Revolution Ultimate bundle contains 3 licenses; SPAT Revolution, SPAT Revolution Essential and SPAT Revolution Ultimate. The SPAT Revolution (legacy) license allows running software prior to 20.12.0.49943 where SPAT Revolution Essential and SPAT Revolution Ultimate are required to run  21.4.0.xxxxx and above. 

If you are currently subscribing to a SPAT Revolution license you will simply need to synchronize your ilok account with your ilok key or computer machine. For perpetual owners, in order to complete the transaction, you must proceed to a surrender of the old license to a new license bundle

Transferring an iLok license from one iLok account to another iLok account is handled entirely in the iLok License Manager. FLUX:: can not transfer any iLok licenses, and you don’t need any permissions from FLUX:: in order to transfer your FLUX:: iLok licenses.

All FLUX:: commercial full licenses can be transferred in the iLok license manager, with the only restrictions set by iLok.com, who requires iLok accounts and licenses to be at least 90 days old before a license can be transferred.

Read more about how this is done under “Managing Your Licenses” in the Customer Support FAQ on the iLok.com website.

If your licenses are on a FLUX:: dongle (deprecated and unsupported), and not in an iLok account, please contact FLUX:: support to request a transfer from your FLUX:: dongle to your iLok account instead (this transfer is free of charge).

When a product license is downloaded to your iLok user account and activated, the license can’t be cancelled or refunded.

If a license was sent to an iLok account and is still pending for activation in your iLok account, and a reclamation or a refund should be in question, please do not download the license to your iLok user account or iLok USB key, instead, contact your dealer and request a refund.

The dealer must then contact the FLUX:: distributor in your country – PLEASE DO NOT contact FLUX:: directly.

If you have purchased your software in the FLUX:: online store, you may file a demand for a refund within ten days of your finalized purchase. To do this, please contact FLUX:: support directly.

If you have purchased your software in the FLUX:: online store, no license activation codes, serial numbers, or manual activation procedures are required, everything is handled automatically.

When the transaction is finalized and the payment received in full, a confirmation email is sent to your email address and your license is automatically sent to your iLok user account and will then become available in your iLok License Manager.

Activate an iLok License

All Flux:: licenses allow two locations to be activated simultaneously, and support all generations iLok USB keys, as well as activation direct to a computer workstation (iLok Machine Activation). iLok Cloud is not supported.

An iLok license can be activated in the iLok license manager simply by drag and drop of the license, to the iLok USB key, or the computer, in the iLok license manager.

How to use the iLok license manager to activate your licenses

Please verify that the most recent version of the iLok License Manager is installed.

Download and install iLok License Manager

Activate a license to an iLok USB key (all generations)

Drag and drop the license from the “Available” tab in the iLok license manager to the desired iLok USB key name in the location list located to the left in the iLok license manager.


Another way to activate a license is to right-click the license in the iLok license manager and select activate, now you need to select the location for the activation.

“Successful Activation” will appear if there are no errors during the process, and the selected license is now activated on the physical iLok.

Drag and drop the license from the “Available” tab in the iLok license manager to the name of the active actual computer in the location list located to the left in the iLok license manager.

  • First you need to login to your FLUX:: account. If you don’t have a FLUX:: account create an account here.
    • Redeem the license activation code in the license code section in your FLUX:: account. In order to do this your FLUX:: account must be linked to your iLok account.
    • If your FLUX:: account is not linked to your iLok account, link your account in the iLok section in your FLUX:: account.
    • Activate your new product license in the iLok license manager. Please verify that the most recent version of the iLok License Manager is installed.
  • Download and install your new software using the FLUX:: Center download and installation manager

  • First, you need an active email address and a FLUX:: Online Shop account.
    If you don’t have a FLUX:: account, create an account here. When your account is created, you will receive an email with an activation link. Please locate this email in your inbox, or in the worst case in your spam folder, and click the activation link to activate your account.

  • Next, you need an iLok user account (no iLok USB key is required)
    When your account is activated and you are logged in to the account, you can link your iLok account with your Flux:: account, to do this go to the iLok section in your account. What is an iLok Account?

  • Redeem the license activation code
    To redeem your license activation code to your linked iLok account, log in to your Flux:: account and go to the License code section in your account. When the license activation code is redeemed, please allow up to 15 minutes for the license to arrive in your iLok license manager.

  • Activate an iLok License

    • I can’t find the license code for the activation of my software?
      If you have an iLok account, log in to your account on www.ilok.com and check if your license may have been sent directly to your account. Should you not find any license in your account, please contact your dealer and verify to which email address the license activation code was sent.

    • I have completed the activation but not received any license on my iLok account?
      Please allow up to 30 minutes from completing the activation. If you do not receive an email with the activation information please check your spam-filter/folder, in addition, please make sure emails from the domain flux.audio is allowed.
