]]> This article explains how to set up SPAT Revolution and Logic Pro X to work in Local Audio Path mode. Before starting, please read this article, explaining how to set up DAW routing with SPAT Revolution in order to avoid sync issues.

Local Audio Path Sync Issues

Logic Specifics

Logic will stop processing a track if it can’t find any sound on its input, and here you will not receive any sound sent back by SPAT unless you route any audio to this track.

The way to go with Logic is to route the dry signal from the Send track to an aux bus, and then insert the Return plugin on this aux bus as well. Doing it this way, Logic will detect audio at the aux bus input, and everything will work as intended. 

When enabling the Override option in the Return plugin (to bypass the dry signal) and then enabling the Thru option in the Send plugin, the dry signal is sent back to the Return tracks. 

Here is a basic Logic Pro X project with 8 audio Send tracks and 2 Stereo Return tracks. 

Download Logic Pro X Project

 Please note the use of a ‘Dummy’ bus track to make the audio tracks easier to setup. Just route your audio tracks to Bus 1 and insert a  Send plugin with the Local Audio Path option enabled. 

This ‘Dummy’ bus track has 2 aux sends (pre-fader) routing the signal to both the Return tracks. 

Now you can add an audio file to one of the Send tracks, and connect the input and outputs objects in SPAT Revolution.

]]> On some computers when using NVIDIA graphics cards, you may encouter issues with white GUIs or crashes in certain DAWs.

As Flux:: plugins require OpenGL 2.0 to work, you may have to allow or force your DAW to use your Nvidia graphics instead of using the onboard intel graphics chipset.

To do this, open the NVidia Control Panel, under 3D Settings, click Manage 3D Settings, then Under Global Settings, change the Auto-selection to High-Performance NVIDIA processor, as a preferred graphics processor, and then click Apply.

This should fix the issues and make the DAW and the plugins work as expected.

FLUX:: Center Install Options with VST 64-bit and VS3 – Pyramix 10/11 enabled for installation.

To install the VS3 DSP plugin version in Flux:: Center, enable the VS3 DSP plug-in formats in Center preferences. To access Center Preferences, simply click on the gear symbol located to the right at the top of the Center window.

In Windows, the software installation paths can be edited for the VS3 plugin format versions.
After you’ve set up Center Preferences, you need to save your settings by pressing OK, which will take you back to the Center main installation window.

To install a product in the Center main installation window, click the “Install” button. Now the VS3 DSP versions will be installed for the plugins supporting VS3 DSP.

It is using a plugin, called SampleGrabber, to broadcast the audio data from the DAW or Host software to the stand-alone application, either on the same computer, localhost, or over the network using a different computer for the Analyzer stand-alone application.

When installing any of the Flux:: stand-alone applications, such as the FLUX:: Analyzer Essential / FLUX:: Session Analyzer, shortcuts can be created by enabling this option under Global Options in Flux:: Center.
