VST plug-ins not listed in the DAW software

When running a DAW software using the VST version of the Flux:: plugins (Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar etc.), and the plugins can’t be found find in the DAW after the installation, there may be a problem with the plug-in scanning in the DAW after installing the plug-ins.

Please follow these steps to perform a plug-in re-scan:

Open Preferences/Settings in the DAW software and locate the list of Folders and Paths where the DAW is scanning for VST plug-ins. Please consult the user manual of your DAW for the exact location of this setting.
In the settings window, add the locations below as VST plugin file locations to scan:
- Windows 64-Bit, VST 64-Bit:
  C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Flux
- Windows 64-Bit, VST 32-Bit:
  C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins\Flux
- Windows 32-Bit, VST 32-Bit:
  C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Flux
- Mac OS X:
  /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Flux
After adding these locations, consult the user manual to find out the procedure for a plug-in rescan in the DAW, and perform a re-scan.

Now the installed plugins should be available in the plugin list in the DAW.

How To Install FLUX:: Session Analyzer / FLUX:: Analyzer Essential in FLUX:: Center

When the FLUX:: Analyzer Essential or FLUX:: Session Analyzer stand-alone application is installed the SampleGrabber plug-in will automatically be installed in any of the AU / VST / AAX plug-in formats are enabled for install in Center Preferences Install Options.

When installing a stand-alone Application in Flux:: Center, shortcuts can be created by enabling this option under Global Options. In macOS, the shortcut is added to the dock, and in Windows, the shortcut is created on the desktop.

How To download and install on an offline computer using FLUX:: Center

Important – Verify that the latest version of FLUX:: Center is installed on BOTH the Online computer (used for the download), and on the Offline computer (where the installation will be done)

1 – On the online machine

Open Flux:: Center preferences and click on ‘clear cache’ button

Enable ‘Download Only Mode’ and set the OS and formats versions you need to download.

Click ‘ok’ to go back to the main page and download the products

When all the products have been downloaded, go back to the preferences page and click onto the ‘export cache’ button.

Save the file (on an USB key for example, you’ll need to access the file from the offline machine in the next step)

2 – On the offline machine

Open Flux:: Center (you’ll be prompted that Flux:: Center is running in offline mode), go the the preferences and click on ‘Import Cache’ button. Select the file saved in the previous step.

You have the choice to merge the actual cache or to clear and replace it with the products from the imported file.

Click ‘ok’ to go back to the main page, the products should be available.

How to redeem a License Activation Code

First you need to login to your FLUX:: account. If you don’t have a FLUX:: account create an account here.
- Redeem the license activation code in the license code section in your FLUX:: account. In order to do this your FLUX:: account must be linked to your iLok account.
- If your FLUX:: account is not linked to your iLok account, link your account in the iLok section in your FLUX:: account.
- Activate your new product license in the iLok license manager. Please verify that the most recent version of the iLok License Manager is installed.

First, you need an active email address and a FLUX:: Online Shop account.
If you don’t have a FLUX:: account, create an account here. When your account is created, you will receive an email with an activation link. Please locate this email in your inbox, or in the worst case in your spam folder, and click the activation link to activate your account.
Next, you need an iLok user account (no iLok USB key is required)
When your account is activated and you are logged in to the account, you can link your iLok account with your Flux:: account, to do this go to the iLok section in your account. What is an iLok Account?
Redeem the license activation code
To redeem your license activation code to your linked iLok account, log in to your Flux:: account and go to the License code section in your account. When the license activation code is redeemed, please allow up to 15 minutes for the license to arrive in your iLok license manager.
Activate an iLok License
All Flux:: licenses allow two simultaneous activations, and support all generations iLok USB keys as well as activation direct to a computer workstation. An iLok license can be activated in the iLok license manager simply by drag and drop of the license, to the iLok USB key, or the computer, in the iLok license manager.

Please verify that the most recent version of the iLok License Manager is installed!

How to use the iLok license manager to activate your licenses

Download and install iLok License Manager
- Activate a license to an iLok USB key
  Drag and drop the license from the “Available” tab in the iLok license manager to the desired iLok USB key name in the location list located to the left in the iLok license manager.
  
  Another way to activate a license is to right-click the license in the iLok license manager and select activate, now you need to select the location for the activation.
  
  “Successful Activation” will appear if there are no errors during the process, and the selected license is now activated on the physical iLok.
- Activate a license to a computer workstation (iLok Machine Activation)
  Drag and drop the license from the “Available” tab in the iLok license manager to the name of the active actual computer in the location list located to the left in the iLok license manager.
  
  Another way to activate a license is to right-click the license in the iLok license manager and select activate, now you need to select the location for the activation.
  
  “Successful Activation” will appear if there are no errors during the process, and the selected license is now activated on the computer workstation.

Troubleshooting

I can’t find the license code for the activation of my software?
If you have an iLok account, log in to your account on www.ilok.com and check if your license may have been sent directly to your account. Should you not find any license in your account, please contact your dealer and verify to which email address the license activation code was sent.
I have completed the activation but not received any license on my iLok account?
Please allow up to 30 minutes from completing the activation. If you do not receive an email with the activation information please check your spam-filter/folder, in addition, please make sure emails from the domain flux.audio is allowed.
