“Evo Channel is quite packed, covering not only the ‘vanilla’ features one expects from a channel strip but also moving forward with the with Touch section and Phase slider, introducing aspects not usually seen on this kind of plug-ins. Zero added latency, rather friendly CPU load for a plug-in with this feature set, easily allowing to run as many instances as needed.”
“Evo Channel is a pretty powerful little tool that does an extremely impressive job, sounds really good and is really fast to work with!”

      Josh Voyles

“What I like about the Drive section in EVO Channel is that it’s not a distorted sound, it’s just kind of a saturated sound adding a little bit more fatness and roundness to your sound, and it’s actually really subtle still even at 60-70 percent!”
“I really like EVO Channel and the results that I get from it, it’s straight to the point, sounds great, easy to use, and I really like the workflow!”

      Behind the EVO Series

      EVO Channel

“All the right tools are there to assist the creativity of a sound engineer, and the technology should not limit what he can do – It’s still the human who need to be making the decisions!” – Yves Jaget

      Unique EVO Drive System

      Restores the life and vitality

A well-managed gain structure is paramount for creating an optimized signal-chain and regenerating harmonics can bring the texture you want. In each of the EVO plugins a signal Drive, designed to add a soft saturation and warmth to the material, is available directly at the input gain for restoring and maintaining the vitality of the sound.

      EVO In

      EVO In

      Reframes the sound together

One of the most crucial parameters to take into account is Phase, or “The art of using multiple microphones on one and the same sound source”, a classic example is when setting up the sound for a drum kit.

Controlling the Phase of microphones is universal and relevant both for studio and live use. In EVO Channel and EVO In, an Arbitrary and Linear Phase Rotation throughout the spectrum is provided, to accomplish the same natural thing as when physically moving a microphone.

The Phase is the result of FLUX:: proprietary research, a unique algorithm allowing linear phase correction with zero latency.

      EVO EQ

The canvas for painting the colors

One of the cornerstones in a Channel Strip is a well-built, efficient and complete Equalizer.

The equalizer in the EVO Channel and EVO EQ is a straightforward comprehensive 4-band parametric equalizer with an additional low/high shelf and a 6-24 dB low/high cut filter.

The graphical interactive EQ curve is layered on top of the built in Spectrum Analyzer for hands-on editing with direct connection to the visual response.

The spectrum analyzer originates from the FLUX:: Analyzer and has been optimized for the EVO Channel and EVO EQ. It provides an accurate direct view of what’s going on in the different frequency domains of your material.

      EVO EQ
      EVO Comp

      EVO Compressor

      The Sound Attitude Generator

In addition to controlling the signal dynamics, the compressor is often used for shaping the attitude of a sound. To use a compressor in a creative and artistic fashion it’s important that it’s easy to use and has the ability to create an interesting sound.

The EVO Channel and EVO Comp offers a wide range and variety of sound with nine different compression modes, and a Wet / Dry control for adjusting the level of compression, allowing for parallel compression within the module.

      EVO Touch

The icing on the cake !

The Final Touch – EVO Touch, also available in EVO Channel, is a polymorphic section offering a variety of different processors designed to adapt to the requirements of the material, with seven different processing modes including a frequency dependent DeEsser, Expander and a Transient and Sustain Shape designer.

      EVO Touch

      Multichannel, Dolby Atmos®, Ambisonics & High-Resolution Support

Multichannel being at the core of FLUX:: Immersive, The EVO Series plugins are designed to support mixing and creation of multichannel surround and immersive audio production content. Each module supports up to 16 channels which include Dolby Atmos® 7.1.2 / 7.0.2 Track and Bus all the way for creating and manipulating Ambisonic audio and mixes all the way to Third order Ambisonics

High Resolution DXD Audio with sampling rates up to 384 kHz is supported.

Dark Mode for Live and Theater

The visual display mode of the graphical user interface in the EVO Series plugins can be set to a Dark or a Light mode.

The Dark mode is created to provide an option for situations like Live and Theater performances where discretion can be of real importance.

The most wanted Panning methods and Spatialization techniques at your fingertips

      Render for various deliverables

Audio is literally living a paradigm shift, moving beyond stereo to various spatial audio techniques.  At the core of SPAT Revolution is a desire not to impose on panning methods and spatialization techniques rather to offer a wide range of possibilities,  including panning techniques for working with audiences in wide areas not confined to traditional sweet spots for live and installation setups.

Being for improving the frontal resolution for concert diffusion, to immerse the audience with surround audio, to render to any channel-based or scene-based formats, to deliver spatial audio over headphones, SPAT Revolution simply opens up to the most advanced techniques and brings them to your fingertips.

Deliver a stable soundscape throughout an entire listening area with WFS

With today’s demand for the entertainment to completely immerse the audience in the experience, and for producing a stable soundscape image throughout an entire audience listening area, the distinctive WFS , Wave Field Synthesis technique for spatial audio reproduction is offered as a license add-on option to SPAT Revolution Ultimate offer.

WFS aims to reproduce the true physical attributes of a given sound field (the waves front) over an extended listening area, an approach that relies on delay and amplitude. It is deployed on collinear speaker systems (line of speakers in a frontal setting) and with qualified 2D/3D speaker arrangements surrounding the audience.

      Channel-based Formats
      • Stereo with various pan law options, XY and AB
      • Multi-channel system using position or direction based panning techniques

Encoding and Decoding with Transcoding Modules

SPAT Revolution objects stream type can span from many types of microphones, arrays, HOA captures, and from any type of pre-produced stems. It can render content in HOA up to 7th order. Supporting a vast range of stream formats, transcoder modules allow modification of the channel count of the stream passing through it, depending on the format transfer being requested. For example, transcoding from Ambisonic B-Format into a Channel Based 3D Cube involves a four-channel Ambisonic stream getting transcoded into an eight-channel stream grouped and treated as a specific speaker configuration.

See Specifications for SPAT Revolution Essential limitations.

        Multi-Virtual Room (Ultimate Only)

In SPAT Revolution the source objects are spatialized inside virtual rooms with spatial positioning, panning, reverberation and output format taken into consideration when calculating the output rendering.

In order to encompass various different workflows or render different deliverables, multiple rooms can be created and used simultaneously, in parallel, with individual independent output formats.

Summing this up is the ability to binaurally monitor (virtualize) a scene from a channel based output, giving an impression of how the mix might sound diffused by a particular speaker arrangement (including the space between speakers and gain characteristics belonging to selected panning types).

        Unique Nebula Spatial Spectrogram

Nebula is a technology adapted from FLUX:: Analyzer System, simulating how sound sources localize their  sound over different speaker setups, providing a unique representation of the sound-field, in terms of spectral content and localization, in real-time inside the 3D virtual room display.

Transformer – Real-time Voice and Sonic Modelling Processor

TRAX Transformer is based on an augmented phase vocoder technology and a cutting edge transformation algorithm, allowing for manipulating characteristic properties of a voice such as gender, age and breath, and on any other sound; expression, formant and pitch.

These voice transformation algorithms have already been used, with great success, in international and French cinema productions. (Farinelli, Vatel, Tirésia, Les amours d’Astrée and Céladon)

        TRAX TRANSFORMER 2023

        Source (Trax Transformer)

With the Spectral Envelope complex remapping of the actual spectrum envelope, according to a freely definable curve, can be performed.

        Source (Trax Transformer)

With the Spectral Envelope complex remapping of the actual spectrum envelope, according to a freely definable curve, can be performed.

        Target (Trax Transformer)

Target, provide a range of options for the transformation of the source material. In voice mode, a range of vocal types/ranges are available, and on top of that, parameters such as gender, age and breath can be used as well. For all types of material, pitch, expression and formant are provided as well.

        Spectral Envelope (Transformer)

Up to eight channels of simultaneous processing for multichannel surround configuration is provided. The processing can be disengaged on any of the channels leaving the material unprocessed, bypassing the original sound.

When operating on a multi-channel bus all, up to eight in total, channels are processed by default, though the processing can be disengaged for any number of channels leaving the material unprocessed and bypassing the original sound.

By doing this in combination with serial instances the material on any number of channels can be processed with individual settings.

Cross Synthesis – Spectral Envelope Morphing Processor

TRAX Cross Synthesis utilizes a phase vocoder (the amplitude and the frequency/phase spectra), to morph the spectral characteristics of two sounds. The amplitude and frequency/phase spectra can be blended continuously and since the features that are used here are strongly nonlinear, the sound morphing is nonlinear as well, offering a way to create a wide range of new exciting and unusual sound effects.

        TRAX SOURCE FILTER 2023

Source Filter – Enhanced Sound Filtering

TRAX Source Filter is based on a signal model decomposing the signal into a time envelope describing the energy/loudness contour of the sound, and a spectral envelope describing the spectral colour of the sound timbre. The energy contour and the spectral colour of the source sound, can be continuously blended with the spectral colour and energy contour of an arbitrary filtrating sound, allowing transformation that extend well beyond the more common source filter morphing effect.

        Binaural technology

Binaural technology encompasses methods for recording, processing, synthesizing and reproducing sound that are specifically designed to preserve tridimensional localization properties.

In order to mimic the impression of a sound originating from a given incidence, it is sufficient to filter a mono signal, which on its own lacks any kind of spatial information, with both left and right HRTF filters. This constitutes the foundation of binaural synthesis.

Please note that the resulting signal is only meant to be listened to with headphones, and isn’t designed for a conventional stereo loudspeaker setup.

        Decay Time

The Decay Time, is the duration of the reverberation tail in seconds, the time it takes for the reverberated sound to die out. In technical terms this is often referred to as the RT60 factor, the time at which the response of the reverberation to an input signal goes below -60dB of attenuation.

        Room Size

The Room Size is a meta parameter used to quickly perform a homogeneous set of parameters for the early reflections part (early + cluster). These parts are particularly important to achieve the “room” feeling of the desired space. It adjust the time structure of the whole reverberation (early-min, early-max, cluster-min, cluster-max, reverb-start).

        Pre Delay

The Pre Delay controls the time at which the reverberation portion of the effect starts to be noticed, with respect to the DIRECT signal. Increasing this helps to distinguish between direct and effected sound and preserve intelligibility, especially with large decay times and room sizes which would otherwise drench the audio material in reverberation.

        Time Structure Gain and Damping

        • Early Gain – Controls the level of EARLY and CLUSTER contributed to the overall effect.
        • Tail Gain – Controls the level of LATE/TAIL contributed to the overall effect.
        • Low Damping – Adjusts low-frequency damping, for increasing or decreasing the decay of bass content with respect to the rest of the spectrum
        • High Damping – Adjusts high frequency content damping.
